Grow Your Blog

Welcome to new friends coming over from the 2 Bags Full Blog Party!

I started my blog when my husband was diagnosed with cancer.  I was so upset I couldn't sleep, which has never been my strong suit anyway.  So I made a space about pretty things that make me happy during all those hours I should have been sleeping.  I'm thrilled to tell you he's doing well and I'm still happily blogging, mostly about stitching.  I'm still not a "good" sleeper so I get plenty of stitching done.

I'm looking forward to making new blogging friends and finding your blogs to follow.

  1. Oh, I can see we love a LOT of the same things! The "not sleeping" part of you is something that you and I also have in common. And, like you, my creativity often presents itself in the dark hours of the night. I'm visiting from the GROW YOUR BLOG party and have joined your blog now. Cindy from TheCranesNest.com

  4. Hi, thanks for the comment on my blog. You're a "no-reply" person so I popped over to say Thanks here.

I love your current projects page, there are some beautiful pieces there, especially the Pelin Tezer ribbons. I would really like to see that one stitched up.

  6. What beautiful stitching you do! I'm so glad your husband's on the mend. I'm not a good sleeper either, sad to say. But I tend to just read when I can't sleep :)

  8. Hi, Lynne - dropping in as one of Vicki's Helper Bees today, from the Blog Party. I would have ventured through on my own, eventually, but this way was so much faster. Beautiful handwork - I SO admire the cross stitchers, because I know your eyes are better than mine, for one thing - your patience, as well. Will be back later to read more - in the meantime, enjoy the blog hopping...hope you find some inspiration wherever you land. Happy Saturday - Tanya

  11. Your crosstitching are beautiful. My husband had cancer and was treated through a half year in 2001. At that time I had never heard about blogging, but cross-stitching was my way to get through the hard time.I am glad your husband is well now, mine is too. Nice to visit you, greetings from Marit Johanne in Norway

  17. Hey Lynne, Your needlework is stunning, I've had to stand on some pretty strange positions to get photographs also. But it is worth it and I love seeing how big that project really is. It has been lovely meeting you.
